Professor Judith Freedman CBE, Associate Scholar at CBT and Emeritus Professor of Taxation Law and Policy at the University of Oxford, has been appointed to the Tax Notes International Council of Eminent Persons

The Tax Notes International Council of Eminent Persons is a distinguished advisory group that plays a crucial role in shaping discussions within the international tax community. Comprising thought leaders from around the world, this council provides insights and guidance on emerging trends and key tax issues. 

Council members:

Co-chair Peter Barnes, Caplin & Drysdale; Co-chair Sam Sim of the Tax Analysts board and the International Association of Tax Judges; Judith Freedman, emeritus professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford; John C. Hughes, U.S. international tax practitioner; Christian Kaeser, global head of tax and corporate vice president at Siemens; Ed Kieswetter, commissioner and chief executive of the South African Revenue Service (SARS); Tizhong LIAO, former competent authority and director general of international taxation for the People’s Republic of China; Hans Mooij, founder and chair of Tribute; Luís Eduardo Schoueri of the University of São Paulo and vice president of the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law; and Parthasarathi Shome, founder chair of the International Tax Research and Analysis Foundation - ITRAF and Analysis Foundation in Bengaluru, India.
